Your first appointment will be to meet with Dr. Schoeman for a personal assessment, conducted in a private meeting at our clinic, or via telehealth. Your initial visit will include a thorough review of your medical history and current health and symptoms, as well as a careful examination.
In addition to his current focus on Men’s Sexual Health, Dr. Schoeman’s experience includes over two decades of Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine and minor surgery.
He developed a special interest in Men’s Sexual Health, an area which has traditionally been neglected and underserved. The lack of treatment options and timely access lead him to establish the first clinic in Calgary solely focused on Men’s Sexual Health. He believes in a multi-pronged, team-based approach which ultimately results in superior patient outcomes.
Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Dr. Schoeman attended the University of Pretoria, where he completed his medical degree. He relocated to Canada in 2002 and after rural positions in Saskatchewan and Alberta, settled in Calgary in 2013. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and young children.
Dr. Schoeman offers multiple treatment options ranging from shockwave therapy, penile injections, Trimix treatment and counselling with a certified sex therapist.

She has had a long career in health and wellness since graduating from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors of Physical Education and then her Master’s of Science from the University of Oregon. After 10 years in the world of sports medicine and exercise science, she expanded her knowledge and completed her Bachelor of Nursing from Mount Royal University. Her nursing experience includes labour and delivery, oncology and surgical urology and after completing her Post Masters diploma for Nurse Practitioner she has been working side by side with the surgical urologists at the Southern Alberta Institute of Urology and Alberta Health Services Rockyview General Hospital.
Her philosophy is to approach each patient and their loved ones with the same level of care and dignity she would want for her own family. She values respect, honesty and compassion and is committed to providing the highest standard of safe and effective care.
Shannon is a born and raised Calgarian that has been committed to caring for this community for the past 25 years. When she is not working she enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and 3 kids.
